The Pride
A Pride is a group of lions. Lions are the most social big cat, and spend their entire lives hunting, growing, learning, mating, and evolving with members of their pride. We refer to our clients as members. By creating a pride and a community for them to share, we create an ecosystem for members to learn from each other. We foster collaboration, exchange of ideas, and democratization of once gatekept information.

Our Founding Story
Alka Financial was founded on February 2, 2020, by Samuel and A.B. Ordu. A.B. recognized the gap in financial services early on in various roles. He noticed that larger firms wanted clients who were already established and wealthy, and smaller firms lacked the resources to scale efficiently.
Samuel, a lifelong entrepreneur, was eager to work alongside his son, and the dynamic duo saw rapid success despite the COVID-19 pandemic and other setbacks.
In April 2022, we suffered a significant loss with the passing of Samuel Ordu. A.B. was distraught, and the firm lost over 60% of its clientele. After completing a global triple master's program, Loyola Launch U, and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program, Alka Financial has been revitalized.
My father Samuel Ordu is my hero, spiritual guide, and founding father of Alka Financial. He immigrated from Nigeria in the late 70s, and at Southern University, he met his wife, Stephanie. In 1988, he published An Analysis of the Certification Process of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises. This graduate thesis laid the framework for all businesses in Louisiana to have a uniform application process to become DBE or WBE certified.
My father was a man of action. Because of him, I believe in what is possible. Samuel represents the lion's head in our logo as the founding father of the Pride.
